How is your information stored
Your information is stored securely using password-protected electronic systems, including Google Workspace, with appropriate security measures in place. Only I have access to your records unless disclosure is required by law or explained within this Privacy Notice.
Confidentiality
Everything discussed during therapy is confidential. Information will only be shared without your consent if: - There is a serious risk of harm to yourself or another person. - There are safeguarding concerns regarding a child or vulnerable adult. - Disclosure is required by law or court order. Where possible, I will discuss this with you before sharing information.
Clinical Supervision
As part of safe clinical practice, I attend regular clinical supervision. Cases may be discussed with my accredited clinical supervisor, but identifying information is anonymised wherever possible. My supervisor is also bound by professional standards of confidentiality. How long will I keep your information? Clinical records are retained for an appropriate period in accordance with professional guidance, legal requirements and my professional indemnity insurance obligations. After this period, records will be securely destroyed.
Who will see my information?
Your information will not be shared with anyone else unless: - You give written consent. - I am legally required to disclose it. - There are serious safeguarding concerns. Your rights You have the right to: - Request access to your information. - Request correction of inaccurate information. - Request restriction of processing in certain circumstances. - Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Please note that healthcare records are subject to some legal exemptions.

Online Therapy Sessions
Therapy sessions are delivered online using Zoom, a secure video conferencing platform. Please note that no online platform can be guaranteed to be completely secure, although reasonable steps are taken to protect your privacy and confidentiality. Reasonable steps are taken to ensure sessions remain private and confidential. This includes using password-protected meetings, waiting rooms where appropriate, and conducting sessions from a private, confidential environment. Clients are asked to: • Attend sessions from a private location where they can speak freely. • Use a secure internet connection where possible. • Ensure they have a device with a working camera and microphone. • Let me know their current location at the start of each session in case emergency services ever need to be contacted.
